If i call up Verizon and muster hell or threaten to switch to sprint would they give my a free or reduced price for the data plan?

My friends grandpa did this with the radio company and now gets free HBO.

I know its an A-hole thing to do, but Verizon is a rip off.

My Palm preversion PC Magazine

Has its unfailing points, but as a Sprint customer it is hard to beat the Palm Pre. It has a great touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, perceptive camera, and a bunch of preloaded software. More than just hardware, it is the software that makes the Pre standout. As promised, Palm rebuilt the OS from the scope up, included every good idea that went into the iPhone (capacitive screen, threaded messaging, an remarkable Web browser), and brought it to the new device. RIM is still trying to improve on the e-mail devices it pioneered years ago.

The conundrum for RIM is that smartphones aren't just about e-mail anymore. A year ago, a Web browser was a nice extremely on a phone. Today, it is an essential feature. Apple is redefining what a smartphone can do with every new software industry, and RIM has not been keeping up. (Of course, neither has Windows Mobile, but that is another, much more tragic column.) Yes, the BlackBerry e-mail works excellent, but what about games, video, music, photos, and document viewing? The Pre now serves as my point-and-shoot camera, MP3 contender, alarm clock, and bar bet settler. When I tried to settle a bar bet with the 8330, I could barely get the page to responsibility. Now I can pinch and squeeze!

Of course, if I weren't legally bound to Sprint for most of my adult life, I might experience differently. I have come to see my wireless contract like an accident of birth, a universal loyal, an inescapable truth I must live with. (Until I make enough money to make the $200 cancellation fee seem inapt.) Ten years ago I signed up with Sprint, probably to get that Treo 650, and since then I have simply never been able to leave. Sprint had some hard years, but coverage has always been good in New York City. For better or worse, I am a Sprint customer. If there had been an AT&T retailer just a little closer to my apartment all those years ago, maybe I would raving about how the iPhone 3GS lets me course and chart Obama's stimulus spending in real time. Instead, I am packing a Palm, again.

Review: BlackBerry Tour 9630 (Sprint)

Suddenly Version: Unless you’re shopping specifically for the Palm Pre, this is the smartphone to buy for Sprint customers. The cross is right, the speed is right, the OS is at the perfect point in its developing. Review: I have no issues with recommending this phone to anyone. It’s the complete fusion of everything that makes a BlackBerry device what it is. The screen is extremely alert, the camera does well in almost every situation, and despite what Peter said, the keyboard is cultivate. Yes, Peter is wrong, I found absolutely no problems with the keyboard on the Stroll. Voice quality is significantly improved over the other BlackBerry devices I’ve hardened or tested, and calls are clear and sharp, with minimal obscurity inconspicuous noise. Of course, this is to be expected from Sprint’s network, and during the testing space, I experienced no dropped calls. They’ve even added a “close” button on the top of the phone. This is something that I always look for, and usually end up reprogramming one of the other buttons on the phone (typically the camera) to do this very r. Good idea, RIM!
This phone also supports overseas networks, so you will be merely fine leaving the country with it. Again, watch those data overages that companies infatuation to gouge you for, especially if you leave the US. The software package that comes with the phone is tolerable, and if you are a sports fan, Sprint also includes the option to install their MLB Premium, NFL Mechanical, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile software. The phone also has Sprint TV installed, and it streams completely nicely. While waiting for my wife at the doctor’s room, I was able to sit and watch a full episode of one of my favorite shows with no problems. The web browser is still discard, no question there. A commenter on Peter’s review recommended installing an surrogate browser, however I didn’t get a chance to do this. It might be an option if you unconditionally hate the default one, but for my purposes it did fine. Just keep in have any objection to that it’s a mobile browser, through and through. You won’t come obturate ignore to replicating the desktop browsing experience like you would on, say, the iPhone or Android. If there is one article I didn’t like about the Tour, it’s the fall short of of a Wi-Fi antenna. I don’t understand why this is not a standard feature on more phones? It makes fulfil sense to me to have it so you can use your Wi-Fi connection when you are at home, instead of running up your figures bill. Or maybe that is the point. Conclusion Despite the lack of a Wi-Fi selection and the so-so web browser, the BlackBerry Tour is a great phone. If you want a BlackBerry OS smartphone, this is the most desirable you can buy. The Tour is currently available to Sprint subscribers for $199.99 Showdown Network: CrunchGear drool over the sexiest new gadgets and machinery.
